Karen Huntoon Interior Designer

My name is Karen Huntoon. I have been scrapping for about 4 years now. I have been married to my college sweetheart (Roger) for almost 19 years and we live in East Longmeadow, Massachusetts. We have 2 wonderful sons Jordan and Seth and a beautiful little furry baby named Pepper. Pepper is a 15 pound bundle of fun who is part poodle, part Lhasa Aspo (please remember we prefer the term mixed breed not mutt).   I work full time outside the home and full time in.

My passions are traveling, photography and scrapbooking. My creations have been featured in several Memory Makers special edition books, Correspondence Arts and the on-line publication Ready Set Create.
I am so proud to have been choosen to be a member of the House of Paper design team. It has been just the creative challenge I have needed.  I have come to realize not that achieving perfection is not the goal. There is no perfect layout.

My name is Stacy and I am a SAHM to one rambunctious little boy named Morgan and one terribly hyper boxer named Thunder. I have been married to my best friend for 10 years now, and it just gets better everyday. I have always been a picture taker, and loved to have pictures of my friends, but I started 'really scrapping' in 1998 when Morgan was born. I started out with 3 ring binders, and did a lot of my work on the computer, but in 1999 when I found my first online scrapbook community, my style changed a lot! I have gone from working with my supplies in a small 13 X 9 tote, to having 1/3 of a 300 SF unattached garage as my scrapping area. What a change! I love taking pictures of Morgan, and scrapping is a wonderful outlet for my creativity. And it gives me somewhere to put that multitude of pictures instead of having them in a box somewhere and being worried about losing them. Morgan has almost 15 albums already! At this rate, I will need a whole room just to keep his books in!

When I scrap I find myself getting inspiration from lots of different sources, but lately I have found myself getting lots of inspiration from magazine ads! I did an ad inspiration for a challenge, and really liked how it pulled me "out of my box".  My style is simple, for the most part, but lately I have found myself drawn to tearing and wrinkling and sanding, (this especially works well with Chatterbox papers) I think that scrapping is an every evolving art form, and I can't wait to see what evolution happens next.
